Istanbul led in housing sales with 19,347 units sold, followed by Ankara with 10,791 units and Izmir with 6,899 units. Conversely, the lowest sales were recorded in Ardahan with 24 units, Tunceli with 70 units, and Bayburt with 73 units.
In February, 1,457 houses were sold to foreigners, reflecting a 21.1% decrease compared to the previous year. Istanbul led in foreign house sales with 539 units, followed by Antalya with 503 units and Mersin with 89 units.
Emlakjet’s survey data from February and October revealed significant changes in financing preferences and demand trends for home purchases. The desire to own a home using credit increased by 3 percentage points, reaching 36%. However, 66% of users are not currently considering buying a home. Expectations of a decrease in mortgage interest rates also increased by 7 points, reaching 20%.
